A summary
We would like to offer you a very warm welcome to our Kellogg's Football Camp delivery by Oldham Athletic Community Trust and thank you for reading our page - we hope you find this useful! Our Soccer School is designed to give children a safe, enjoyable and positive environment where they can make the most of their holiday through football. While football is at the heart of what we do, this is not a performance camp. Our focus is on creating a space where children can have fun, build confidence, make friends and enjoy playing the game. We want every child to feel welcome, included and excited to take part, whether they play football every week or simply enjoy getting active during the holidays. About your mentor
Oldham Athletic Community Trust
Together, we’re creating A BETTER OLDHAM
Oldham Athletic Community Trust is a charitable organisation (charity number 1120894). As the official charity of Oldham Athletic AFC, Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) is committed to positive action that helps to address the inequalities faced in and by communities across the borough in order to create ‘A Better Oldham’ for everyone. Our mission is simple: Working collaboratively, we will leave a lasting legacy in our communities; providing high quality, needs led engagement opportunities in sport, education and health & wellbeing that help to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals in Oldham.
What we'll do
Our Soccer School is player-led, which means children help shape parts of their day. In the morning, players can choose from our Latics Challenge Card, which includes activities such as: • 1v1 games • Small-sided games • Penalty shootout competitions • Other fun football challenges This gives children the chance to take part in the activities they enjoy most. The day also includes: • A morning break • Lunch time • An afternoon tournament Our tournaments may include formats such as: • World Cup • Champions League • Other fun team competitions
Highlights
There is always plenty for players to look forward to at our Soccer Schools, with a few special extras throughout the week. • Chaddy the Owl visit Chaddy the Owl usually visits once during the half term to meet the players, take photos and join in with the fun (subject to availability). • Oldham Athletic home game tickets All participants have the opportunity to receive tickets for an Oldham Athletic home game, giving them the chance to enjoy the matchday experience at Boundary Park. Please note this is only when the season is on. • Oldham Athletic player visit We usually welcome an Oldham Athletic player to Soccer School once every half term, normally on a Thursday, giving players the chance to meet them and be part of a special visit (subject to availability).
