A summary

Jump Start Holiday Clubs is an exciting and energetic school holiday club for children aged 5–12, based at local schools across Ipswich. Our action-packed days combine specialised gymnastics, multi-sports and dance, giving children the chance to stay active, learn new skills and have fun with friends. Led by qualified and experienced gymnastics, sports and dance coaches, Jump Start is the only local holiday camp offering dedicated gymnastics coaching alongside a wide range of sports, including dodgeball, football, rounders, basketball and team games. Our passionate coaches genuinely love working with children and create a positive, supportive environment where every child feels welcome. Children enjoy structured, engaging days from 8:30 am–3:30 pm, designed to build confidence, develop physical skills and keep kids moving during the holidays. All staff have enhanced DBS's and undertake safeguarding training, and we maintain small group sizes to ensure every child receives attention, encouragement and support.

As an ex-gymnast with over 15 years of experience in the sport, I am a fully qualified Level 2 British Gymnastics coach. Gymnastics has been a huge part of my life, and I love being able to pass that on to others through my coaching. My style is all about creating a positive, encouraging environment where everyone feels comfortable to learn, grow, and challenge themselves. Whether someone is just starting out or working on more advanced skills, I focus on building confidence, strength, and solid technique—while making sure it stays fun along the way. I’m really passionate about supporting each gymnast on their own journey and helping them enjoy the process as much as the progress. For me, it’s not just about skills—it’s about developing confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of fitness .

Felicity Cooper (Flick)

Sports Coach

Hi, I'm Felicity (also known as Flick) and I’m passionate about helping young people stay active, build confidence, and have fun through sport. I’ve previously worked in holiday clubs, in alternative provision education, and volunteering with the Scout Association. Sport has always been a big part of my life. I grew up playing a wide range of sports, including football, basketball and cricket, and currently I play rugby. I have a BSc in Sports Science and Mathematics, which has strengthened my understanding of the benefits of sport for young people. I enjoy using my enthusiasm and positive energy to inspire children to stay active and make the most of their holiday club experience.

Taurean Hambling

Sports Coach

Hi, my name is Taurean Hambling, I have been teaching gymnastics for just over 20 years. I started my coaching journey through work-experience in college, and instantly fell in love with a sport that I was relatively unfamiliar with. I started teaching recreational gymnastics, then developed into working with competitive athletes. I have always continued to coach at the grassroots level working in schools and in my club. I am also currently a tutor for gymnastics coaches. I have qualifications in men's and women's gymnastics and freestyle gymnastics (parkour).

Ashley Bustos

Sports Coach

I’m a passionate and dedicated sports coach with extensive experience delivering fun and engaging holiday clubs. I have worked with both primary and high school children, adapting sessions to suit different ages and abilities. I hold an FA Level 1 Coaching Badge and a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, which support my structured and safe approach to coaching. I genuinely love what I do and always aim to create sessions that are enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone, helping every child build confidence, develop skills, and have a great time.

What You'll Need

Please ensure children come with a snack for snack time, a packed lunch, a water bottle, a jacket, suncream on sunny days and appropriate footwear for them to run around in (i.e no studded/moulded boots). We do not encourage children to take medication at our clubs unless essential. In those circumstances, please ensure they are in a named plastic bag and handed to a coach upon arrival.

Club Rules & Safety

We are a nut-free holiday club, so please ensure that children do not bring any food or snacks containing nuts. To help us maintain a safe and focused environment, fizzy drinks are not permitted, and children should not bring trading cards, handheld gaming devices, or mobile phones to the club.
