A summary
This club is based at my home in Hammerwood and is designed for Home Educating families. Parents and guardians are also welcome to join and can learn alongside their children. (Each attendee should purchase a ticket.)
These sessions will be relaxed and unpressured but we will have the opportunity to develop skills throughout.
I will teach the basic formation of the italic alphabet, develop consistency, order, and clarity, showing how to present a page of writing beautifully, and showing how writing is not laborious but eminently practical. Later, I can teach more elaborate techniques for enhancing scripts for special purposes.
During the session, I will speak about the origins of handwriting and we will explore the handwriting of famous individuals such as Queen Elizabeth I.
I am happy to arrange workshops and courses for adults as well.

I have always been really enthusiastic about the quality of handwriting and I found italic handwriting to be the clearest, simplest and consistently beautiful style to use. I have taught it over many years in and out of school to children of all ages, and to adults.
