A summary
Introduction to Bricklaying – 2 Day Course at Stockton Riverside College. Give bricklaying a try and learn the fundamentals of one of the construction industry's most in-demand trades. Over two practical, hands-on days, students will be introduced to essential bricklaying skills in a safe and supportive environment. Participants will begin with an introduction to health and safety, PPE, and the tools and equipment used on site before moving on to practical demonstrations and guided activities. Students will learn basic bricklaying techniques including building a pyramid, pointing and finishing, corner building, and wall construction. Throughout the course, students will work together on team-building challenges designed to develop communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while gaining confidence in a construction setting. This will be a dust environment, please wear appropriate clothing. No previous experience is required – just a willingness to learn and get involved. A meal will be provided on the day, please bring a water bottle that can be refilled. PPE will be supplied on the day so please ensure you answer all booking questions accurately.
