A summary
Join our open instrumental workshop, designed to challenge and inspire young musicians. Led by expert KMS staff, our two parallel sessions ensure every player works in a focused, supportive, and appropriate environment. The workshop is suitable for all orchestral instruments. Piano, guitar, and percussion application will be considered for selected pieces. The day includes full ensemble and sectional rehearsals, concluding with a Showcase Concert at 3:30pm. (Lunch is not provided.)

Junior Ensemble
Recommended Level: Grades 1-4 Focus: Building confidence and developing fundamental ensemble skills (such as watching a conductor and listening across the group) while working on engaging, accessible repertoire. Music will be arranged with differentiated parts to ensure every player, from beginner to developing musician, has a meaningful and challenging role.
Senior Ensemble
Recommended Level: Grade 5+ Focus: This session is for experienced and confident instrumentalists. The focus is on tackling advanced ensemble skills, exploring a more varied and demanding repertoire, and refining musical interpretation. Players will be challenged to work at a high level, both technically and musically.
