A summary
This dynamic theatre project invites participants to explore the theme of identity through performance, creativity, and collaboration. Together, we will devise an original piece of theatre that delves into how we see ourselves, how others perceive us, and the roles we play in everyday life. Using a mixture of theatre styles, storytelling, improvisation, and discussion, participants will shape the work from the ground up—drawing on personal experiences, imagination, and collective ideas. The process is playful, thought-provoking, and inclusive, offering a safe space to experiment, take risks, and be heard. The project will culminate in a live festival performance at MK Gallery Space on Saturday 5th September, where the group will share their unique, powerful piece with an audience. Perfect for anyone interested in theatre, self-expression, and exploring what makes us who we are. No previous experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to create.
About your mentor
Black Sheep Collective CIC
Proudly outside the flock.
Black Sheep Collective delivers inclusive, creative sessions for children and families who may feel a little outside the norm. We create safe, welcoming spaces where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, explore their creativity, and connect with others. Our workshops use art, movement, and play to support confidence, self-expression, and wellbeing. We believe that every child and family deserves to feel seen, valued, and included—especially those who might not always feel like they fit in. Whether it’s through crafts, storytelling, or creative activities, Black Sheep Collective is all about celebrating difference and helping communities grow stronger, together. Black Sheep Collective nurtures creative expression and supports participants in developing their skills and confidence in authentic collaborative opportunities. The groups will work towards termly sharing's and annual performances. The sessions are affordable, inclusive and remove the pressure of stage school provision.
