What we'll do
Join us on a quest with castles and knights as we explore a very special Kingdom! We will be crafting, enjoying some cooking, keeping fit with trails, treasure hunts and dancing. There will also be time to reflect and be calm, thinking about how we are all special. Each session you will visit 4 activity areas in the morning, craft, cooking, reflect and games. The afternoon is all together with sports and games as the main focus. Week One - Welcome to the Kingdom Make wooden castles, construction challenges, team games, fruit swards and reflective bunting. Then join us for our own Kingdom Sports Day afternoon. Week Two - The Mustard Seed What has mustard seeds got to do with Kingdoms? We will find out! Grow your own edible plant, make some castle cookies, practice your target hitting with our sports area and take time out to think in our reflective zone. In the afternoon join us on a treasure hunt around our local 'Kingdom' . Week Three - The Banquet! Everyone is invited to our Kingdom banquet! Enjoy castle cakes, make your own shield and sword in our creative area, reflect on your talents and gifts and play some castle and knight based games. The afternoon is our sports zones, with different ball games. All young people will join a 'small group' this has a named adult, who will be their main point of contact. Where possible they will stay in the same group all three sessions with the same young people and leader, this supports them in feeling secure and getting to know friends new and old! We will provide a breakfast, morning snack and lunch at each session. Our team have lots of experience including sports coaches, qualified teachers and teaching assistants, along with youth workers. The sessions are about having fun as well as keeping active and healthy.

Emma
Pioneer Pastor
I am the Pioneer Pastor for Hope Church, a lively Methodist Church based in Loftus. I am also a secondary school teacher, with 25 years experience, of teaching a range of humanities subjects including Geography and RE. In my spare time, I am a qualified netball coach and coach nearby Grangetown Netball Club in their under 16s and under 19s sections. I have been a Guide leader for almost 30 years, and have a range of experience from this in the outdoors, learning new skills and camping and more. I love seeing children and young people learn new skills, feel supported, at home, and loving the activities we put on. I enjoy demonstrating the love of Christ in what I do, and sharing my faith. I can't wait to be part of these events, and have the joy of leading a great team delivering high quality activities to local children and young people.
