Singleton Park Home Ed Join us for our weekly forest school Home Ed session for 0 - 12 year olds each Friday afternoon 13.00 - 14.55 Ornamental Garden Singleton Park, Swansea What 3 Words: ///league.smoke.nobody Please not we will no longer be sending out separate Joining Instructions for the sessions your confirmation is via Eequ. Our trained Forest School staff, facilitate the sessions to support child-led independent exploration, coupled with optional Forest School activities. We provide a unique and holistic approach to support play and child development. There is something for all ages and interests. Forest School positively impacts all areas of a child's development, from self-esteem, creativity, independence and social skills. We will no longer be sending out separate Joining instructions, so the confirmation is via Eequ. Parents/carers will be required to stay for the duration of the session. We ask that whilst parents/carer are at the session that they take responsibility for their child/children, and ask that you allow them to choose what they would like to be involved with, giving them an opportunity to make new friends and have fun. We have asked you for consent for First Aid and Photo consent when you registered, and have given this information to the team working on the day you are attending. Some of the team like to take a voice recording to gain feedback from the children and parent/carers attending as this makes it a little easier for them to give feedback. Please let the staff know if you are happy for your child to be recorded, this is anonymous. We will be providing drinks and snacks for the children, so please bring their own cup. You’re welcome to bring your own hot drink in a travel mug with a lid, or to have our refreshments. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather – wellies (or walking shoes/boots with thermal socks are warmer on cold days and wellies are often needed, when it has been wet). Waterproofs and layers if it is raining or cold, or if your child may enjoy water play. The sessions are relatively sheltered by tree cover or shelters however do consider hats and loose covered cotton clothing during hot spells. Thermal top and bottom base layers for colder days. Please bring spare socks and clothing as children are likely to get muddy/dirty/wet from their play. We do not provide sunscreen. Please always check your email before you leave for the session, in case we have to cancel a session due to gale force winds/extreme weather. In such cases, we do our best to reschedule. Please email info@forestschoolsnpt.org.uk if you are unable to attend a session, please also refer to our booking and cancellation policy via our website.
