A summary
Join us for an action‑packed holiday club where every child can play, create and thrive! Our fully funded programme is open to children aged 5–16 who are eligible for benefits‑related free school meals. What’s on offer Football with qualified coaches, building teamwork and skills. Yoga & mindfulness sessions to boost well‑being and resilience. Creative crafts & drama workshops that spark imagination and confidence. Hands‑on cookery classes where children prepare healthy dishes. Day trips to Callister Gardens for outdoor exploration, biodiversity activities and picnic lunches. Daily schedule runs 10 am – 2 pm, Monday–Thursday. A nutritious hot lunch and snacks are provided each day.

Our mission is to break down the barriers that people seeking asylum and refugees face, to rebuild lives and improve mental health outcomes through support and empowerment. We provide a range of practical and well being support at our busy drop-in in Birkenhead.
FAQ's
Who can attend the holiday club? Our sessions are open to children aged 5–16 who are eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals under the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme. Is the club free to attend? Yes! Thanks to Edsential HAF funding, all activities, meals, snacks, and day trips are completely free of charge for eligible families. What do children need to bring? Children just need to wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for physical activity. We provide all equipment, meals, snacks, and materials. Do you cater for dietary requirements? Yes. Please let us know any dietary needs or allergies when you book, and our team will ensure meals are suitable and safe. What if my child doesn’t speak much English? That’s no problem. We welcome children who are new to English—many of our team and young people come from a wide range of language backgrounds. Our activities are visual, inclusive, and focused on fun. Is the venue accessible? Yes, the drop-in centre is wheelchair accessible. If your child has specific support needs, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
