What we'll do

Healthy Appetite and Activities is delighted to be delivering a Free Holiday course during the School Holidays for children aged 12-16, who are eligible for free school meals (FSM). (There is a daily charge for children who are not eligible for FSM). Activities Listed below (activities subject to change): Crealy Adventure Park - Tuesday 5th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. Exmoor Zoo - Wednesday 6th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. Donkey Sanctuary & Sidmouth - Thursday 14th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. Butlins day pass - Friday 15th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. Multi Sports Cricket and tennis Workshop - Tuesday 19th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. Branscombe to Beer trail - Wednesday 20th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. River Dart Country Park - Thursday 28th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. Canoe Adventures Stoke Gabriel - Friday 29th August - Arrive at Cullompton Sport Centre at 9:45am - Collect at Cullompton Sports Centre 6pm. Children who attend the course will be provided with nutritious lunch each day with plenty of fluids which can be taken outside when participating in the sporting activities. Numbers are strictly limited to and will be offered on a first come first served basis. When booking onto the course you will be able to select which weeks you would like to book your children on to using the drop down menu at the top of the booking form or if you would like to book onto both weeks, this option is also available. If you would like your child to take part, then please book into this via the "Book Now" button shown below. All children who attend the course must have a parent/guardian sign them out after each session, coaches will not let children leave the premises unless a signature has been obtained. Our coaches are CRB/DBS checked, hold a UEFA coaching qualification and have Emergency First Aid Training. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me

Children's multi-sports holiday activity club

We organise, plan and deliver activity sessions during the school holidays, with our coaches who are all highly experienced across a multitude of sports, activities and arts and crafts. We work hard to provide an amazing variety of activities to suit everyone. We deliver age-appropriate physical fun and enriching activities that give children the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge, or to seek out new experiences. A key element of the programme is the addition of nutritional education designed to improve children’s knowledge and awareness of healthy eating, with good food practices for families and carers. Our coaches are DBS checked, hold a FA coaching qualification, and have Emergency First Aid Training and Child Safeguarding Certification.

Healthy appetite and Activities was founded in 2021 by Matt Zadel and Lisa Long. After working with both adults and children through community and wellbeing projects, as well as football. Matt decided that along with his sports coaching qualifications and keen interest in working with children, he had both the business acumen and drive to create a successful 'Community based coaching company' of his own. The company now employs almost thirty qualified coaches working across Devon & Somerset, each 'Head Coach' is responsible for managing the companies venues and the day to day activities throughout the school holidays.

Once you have made your booking your information will be checked and approved by our admin team, pending all information submitted is correct. After your booking has been approved you will receive a booking confirmation with all the information you need. So please ensure that you have entered all the information required correctly. *Please make sure you enter your email address is submitted correctly, as you will not receive a booking confirmation and your child's/children's place will not be approved. Children/CYP's will need to bring suitable clothing for the weather on the day, coats for poor weather, encase some of the sporting activities take place outside. Your child will be provided with a hot healthy meal daily, snacks and drinks throughout the day.
