A summary
Outdoor* rounders for women. We play on the field between Dordrecht Way and the bandstand. *IF IT'S RAINING OR GROUND CONDITIONS ARE POOR WE PLAY INDOORS AT HELENSWOOD 7PM-8PM. LOOK OUT FOR UPDATES ON THE DAY* No experience necessary. Not played since school? No problem. We range in age from 18 to 60+ and we don't take rounders too seriously. Join our Facebook group + page Hastings Rounders for more. Free on road parking at the park. We play a mixed gender session on Thursdays too. See our other listings. We have all the kit, so just sign up and turn up. We suggest you wear long trousers and long sleeves but it's up to you. Bring water. We can lend you kneepads. Get a bit fitter and learn more about rounders and women in our community. Want to watch a game before you join in? No worries - book a free place and come and score for us, we will tell you our names and scores and you will see how it works. If something impacts your ability or confidence in running come anyway, someone can run for you. Can't get to a game? We might be able to give you a lift. Get in touch! Active Hastings
Sport and play sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is a partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 30 minutes a day for adults and 60 a day for children to get fitter, healthier and happier. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
Our values
Hastings Rounders was established in 2022 to further the accessibility of the sport of rounders, particularly amongst women of all ages, ethnicities, beliefs, sexualities, abilities and incomes, in the area of Hastings, East Sussex. We now play in St. Leonard's and Bexhill. Our values are community, equality and joy through rounders. We endeavour to safeguard our players’ wellbeing and to promote the sport of rounders to more members of our community. You can attend three events free and without giving us your details and still be covered by our insurance. So come on...

Insurance
Hastings and St Leonard's Academy require that all players are covered by team insurance. Under our insurance you can play up to 3 times and be covered automatically. After that we need some info from you, and ideally a £7 donation which is subsidised by a grant from the Together Fund / Active Sussex. Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.If you pay, cancel with 48 hours to go before the event for a full refund.
