What we'll do
Join us this winter for fun on the farm! The group will have the opportunity to get involved in helping harvest veg or herbs and then make some of lunch. There will be hot healthy food served for lunch with a variety of options. Then there will be some fun activities and time to spend feeding and caring for the farm animals, eg goats, chickens, guinea pigs, sheep and maybe even lambs. There is a playground, play barn and the garden space to ensure the group have some physical activity time. This session is for children supported by their adult/ carer as some things are risky and the site is big so this is not automatically a drop off session unless the children are over 8 and confident in looking after themselves.

Windmill Hill City Farm
A place where people grow
Windmill Hill City Farm is a green space in South Bristol. We provide specific tailored activities for children, families, young people and volunteers around nature, plants, animals and cooking. Our staff are fully trained in first aid, safeguarding and working with children. On site, you’ll find community gardens, a variety of farm animals, a play area, picnic areas and a café and farm shop. We also have a children’s nursery and indoor and outdoor spaces to hire, including a 5-a-side football pitch. We’re open seven days a week all through the year (including bank holidays) with the exception of a short period over Christmas, the dates of which are confirmed annually. Entrance to the site is free, but we’re a charity and encourage donations.
