What we'll do
There will be hot food available for lunch. The group will then have the opportunity to get involved in helping harvest veg or herbs and make some of lunch. Then there will be some spring activities and time to spend feeding and caring for the farm animals, eg goats, chickens, guinea pigs, sheep and maybe even lambs. There is a playground, play barn and the garden space to ensure the group have some physical activity time. This session is for children supported by their adult/ carer as some things are risky and the site is big so this is not a drop off session.

A place where people grow
Windmill Hill City Farm is a 4.5-acre green space in South Bristol. On site, you’ll find community gardens, a variety of farm animals, a play area, picnic areas and a café and farm shop. We also have a children’s nursery and indoor and outdoor spaces to hire, including a 5-a-side football pitch. We’re open seven days a week all through the year (including bank holidays) with the exception of a short period over Christmas, the dates of which are confirmed annually. Entrance to the site is free, but we’re a charity and encourage donations. We also provide specific tailored activities for children, families, young people and volunteers.
