Happy Days Childcare - Ecton Brook HAF

Opening and closing times: 9.00am - 1.00pm. Open to all primary school aged children (aged 4 -11). Lunch break is taken between 12.00pm - 12.45pm, Children begin their day at 9.00am with a wholesome breakfast, choosing from cereals, muffins, crumpets, croissants or toast, with fresh fruit available, all provided free of charge. Each child will receive a packed lunch and are able to select their options, from either sandwiches, wraps, or pitta pockets with a variety of fillings, alongside yoghurt, fruit, and a savour snack. If you think your child may prefer something different, you're more than welcome to send in a healthy packed lunch. Please note that we do not allow any chocolate or nut-based items, and ask that ultra-high processed food items are kept to a minimum, i.e. no more than one item is permitted. Water and milk are provided during breakfast and water will be available to drink throughout the session to keep them refreshed. Throughout the week children take the lead in choosing what interests them most, ensuring their time is filled with engaging activities, relaxation and fun. Our arts and crafts offer a variety of creative projects, from tie-dye, woodwork, jewellery-making and arts and crafts. Outdoor adventures take us to the local parks, museums, woodlands and fields - when the sun is shining, we enjoy taking our lunch with us for a picnic. Team games foster friendships in a light-hearted atmosphere, focusing on laughter rather than competition. Cooking activities bring excitement to the kitchen, with children making pizzas, bread, cakes, or biscuits, we encourage healthy eating options to teach them that fruit and vegetables are not all bad and can be tasty! Sometimes a talent show is put on by the children to show off their creativity and confidence. There are opportunities to grow and nurture plants, encouraging curiosity about the natural world. Above all, our sessions are about unlocking their imagination and exploring endless possibilities! Our session ends promptly at 1.00pm.

Important Information for Parents and Carers If your child has not previously attended our HAF programme, a registration form must be collected from us, completed, and returned at least two weeks before the activity begins. Please ensure you clearly note any additional needs or support your child may require so we can do our best to accommodate them. You can call to visit us after 3.45pm until the end of term, if you wish your child to attend the programme. Arrival and Clothing - Please be on time for drop offs at 9.00am, as breakfast finishes at 9.40am, it allows us to leave on time for off-site activities. Please dress your child in clothes that are suitable for play, getting messy and dirty. We recommend packing spare clothes (socks, t-shirt, and bottoms) in case they get wet. No shorts, skirts or dresses, as they may restrict movement, particularly during outdoor sessions in woodlands and parks. Trainers are the preferred footwear; no sandals or Crocs please. Jewellery should be kept to a minimum; we cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged items or injuries caused. Strictly no mobile phones, tablets or other electronic devices are not permitted at the provision. Ensure your child has a warm, waterproof coat, the weather can be unpredictable! Behaviour and Collection - Children are expected to treat staff and other children respectfully. We will go through rules, routines and boundaries together on their first day. Unfortunately, if a child repeatedly breaks the rules, they will be asked to leave the programme, no refunds will be provided. Please ensure you are on time to collect your child at 1.00pm, late collection fees are applied after 1.05pm at £5.00 for every 10 minutes of lateness.
