A summary
To Book: Please Scroll down the page and click "SEE DATES AND BOOK". There you can select multiple days for each child. Hello Summer is 16 days of activity, play, workshops, performances, trips, games and food! Every day there will be a free swim session in the pool and a free lunch for children. Around this will be a fun and varied programme of things to do whilst having fun in the park. Please see individual tickets for details of each day. In the event of wet or windy weather we will move to an indoor space. We are not a childcare provider - we aim to create fun days for everyone to enjoy together! However older children 12 years plus may be able to attend with their parents consent.

Better Places (Be Buckfastleigh) Hello Summer
Tackling health social & economic inequality
Be Buckfastleigh is a Community Interest Company set up to tackle health, social and economic inequalities in Buckfastleigh and other small rural places. We aim to make thriving and inclusive communities for everyone, especially those in most need of support. Hello Summer is our family activity programme that runs in the school holidays across three towns in Devon: Bridgetown, Buckfastleigh and Bovey Tracey. The activities include arts, crafts, music, theatre, swims, games, food, animals and nature, trips to museums, puppet shows and lego, giving children and their parents/carers the chance to really expand their horizons, be social, make new friends, meeting up with old ones, get active, be creative, get thinking and learning, try new things as well as having fun.

FREE SWIM 11AM & 12.45PM WEDNESDAY 23rd July - Model Village Day - Making a scrap model village of Buckfastleigh and clay versions of ourselves to add! & FREE SWIM 11AM & 12.45PM THURSDAY 24th July - Bin Rat Show byTheatre Alibi brought by Villages in Action. games in the park - 11-1pm WITH NEREA & FREE SWIM 11AM & 12.45PM. SATURDAY 26TH JULY - BUCKFASTLEIGH WATER DAY at Orchard Millennium Green. Celebrate Water in Buckfastleigh - Puppet making, flag making, wool crafts, FREE lunch for children, BBQ, ice cream, Woodland Trust, Dartmoor National park, Headland project, Emergency plan from Buckfastleigh town Council, Music, and end of the day procession! MONDAY 28th JULY - BIOBLITZ AND MICROSCOPE PHOTOGRAPHY & MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA WITH PIZZA PIRATES & FREE SWIM 11AM & 12.45PM TUESDAY 29th JULY - Swim and Games day in the park with the lifeguards. FREE SWIM 11AM & 12.45PM WEDNESDAY 6th AUGUST - Make your own Shadow Puppets & The Pisky Path Puppet Show Performance at 1pm & FREE SWIM 11AM & 12.45PM FRIDAY 8TH AUGST - Trip by coach to Exeter - RAMM Museum and Fun at Exeter Quay festival, leaving ST.Johns School Bridgetown, Totnes at 10am - Woodholme Car park Buckfastleigh at 10.30am and Station Road Car Park Bovey at 11am. MONDAY 11th AUGUST - BOUNCY CASTLE and BOOM BUS DJ-ING AND SILENT DISCO WITH SOUND COMMUNITIES & FREE SWIM 11AM & 12.45PM TUESDAY 12th AUGUST - Swim and Games day in the park with the lifeguards. Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.
