What we'll do
EASTER DRAMA, DANCE & ART WORKSHOPS Join us this Easter at East Sussex College in Lewes, for a fun and creative programme of performing arts workshops for children and young people. Dates: Tuesday 7th April Wednesday 8th April Thursday 9th April Friday 10th April Book as many days as you like. Participants will enjoy a vibrant series of workshops, led by our experienced and fun-loving team of professionals. Workshops are carefully tailored by age. Older students are gently challenged so they can learn new skills and get a real taste of live theatre, while younger children enjoy longer breaks, more group games and the freedom to work at their own pace. All activities are designed to build confidence and encourage creativity. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the creative process and bring their own ideas to life. Our passionate team has over twenty years experience working with children and young people in and around Lewes. All participants are fully supervised from arrival to departure, and every teacher holds Enhanced DBS certification and first aid training. Early booking is strongly recommended for these popular workshops. HAF places are currently available. If all HAF places have been allocated we can place your child on a waiting list.

What to bring
Here's some detailed information about what to bring each day: LUNCHES We will be walking the children across the road to Priory School's lovely playing fields for supervised play at lunch time. We will provide a FREE lunch and fruit snacks each day for any child booked through the HAF scheme. If you are not booking a HAF place then you'll need to provide a packed lunch and plenty of healthy snacks. Please note: We have children on the Summer School with severe nut allergies, so we have a strict NO NUT RULE. WHAT TO WEAR Clothing which is easy to move in e.g. T-shirt and shorts/leggings, and something to wear outside like a fleece or hoodie. We do lots of physical work, so skirts are not really suitable as they can inhibit movement. Footwear that your child can run around in e.g. trainers or plimsoles. WHAT TO BRING: A named water bottle (we will refill if needed). ARRIVAL & DROP OFF: Please wait outside the entrance to the Performing Arts Building at 10am until we let everyone in. Please don’t arrive much earlier than 10am as we will be setting up the spaces and will not be able to let anyone in early. Parents/Carers will say goodbye at the building entrance and will not be able to enter the venue due to child protection issues - please let your child know this in advance. Please make every effort to be prompt so that we can start all our activities on time. If you arrive late, the front door will be locked, so please text or call Deirdre on 07963 478 393 and we will come to the main entrance and let your child in. MEDICATION If you have any medication to pass on to us for your child, please send your child in first and then wait until all the other children have gone in before passing on any medication - with clear written instructions attached to it - to Deirdre. EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS We have everyone’s emergency contact details, but if you have a different emergency phone number for any particular day, please text it to us on 07963 478 393 in the morning of that day. COLLECTING YOUR CHILD We will bring each class to the building entrance at 3.30pm. Please be prompt to collect your child and wait outside the front entrance. If you are unavoidably delayed for pick up please text us on 07963 478 393 to let us know. If your child is 11+ years old and you are happy for them to walk home on their own without an adult collecting them, please send in a written note with them on the first day. They can pass this on to Deirdre. Please ensure everyone who is picking up your child/ren knows what times they need to pick them up. As a performing arts organisation we may take some photos or videos of the children during the workshop to use on our website and or social media. We will never add a child’s name to any social media images. If you would prefer for your child’s photo or videos of their work not to be used just let us know by email: info@kaleidoscopedrama.uk Please do follow/like us on Facebook and Instagram to help us spread the word about our workshops and classes and to see updates about any future events we run. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to meeting you and your child soon!
