FAQ's
1. What makes this programme "SEND Specific"? Our programme is designed with a low pressure, kinaesthetic approach. We maintain higher staff-to-child ratios, offer sensory friendly activities and empower children to choose the activities that best support their interests and comfort levels, ensuring a truly personalised and positive experience. 2. Does my child need to be "sporty" to attend? Not at all! While we deliver sports activities , we know that isn't for everyone. We offer the best of both worlds including creative arts, crafts, cooking, sensory activities and inflatable play. We celebrate all interests, whether your child wants to be active or prefers quiet, creative exploration. 3. What level of support do you provide? Our team is experienced in supporting a wide range of needs, including neurodiversity. We have high staffing ratios and a member of our team will be in contact prior to the start of the programme to discuss the needs of your child to ensure we can provide the appropriate support. 4. What kind of food is provided? We provide a healthy, nutritious hot meal and snacks every day. We are fully equipped to handle specific dietary requirements or sensory sensitivities around food, just let us know your child’s needs during the registration process. Alternatives to hot meals such as sandwiches will be available each day. 5. Is your staff trained in medication administration? Yes. We have staff on site who are specifically trained in administering Buccal Midazolam and EpiPens. If your child has other medication requirements, we ask that you discuss these with us prior to the start of the programme. 6. Is the site accessible for wheelchair users? Yes, all of our programme sites are selected for their accessibility. We ensure level access to activity spaces to support our wheelchair users. We do have hoists which we use but if your child requires the use of a hoist, we will be in touch prior to the start of the programme to allow us to confirm equipment availability for your chosen dates. 7. Are there any needs you cannot accommodate? While we strive to be as inclusive as possible, the safety of our participants and staff is our absolute priority and we are unable to support individuals whose behaviours may pose a significant risk to themselves, other children, or our staff. Our environment is best suited for those who can engage safely within a group setting without the need for high level physical intervention. 8. How do you manage situations where the environment is no longer the right fit? If a child experiences significant distress or displays needs that impact the safety of themselves or the group, we will contact parents/carers immediately to collaborate on a solution. This may occasionally require a shortened session or finding an alternative setting. We encourage open communication during booking to ensure our environment can safely meet your child's requirements.
