Anti-bullying policy
Purpose: To ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where every child feels welcome and valued. Definition of Bullying: Physical Bullying: Hitting, pushing, or any other form of physical aggression. Verbal Bullying: Name-calling, teasing, or any hurtful comments directed at others. Social Bullying: Excluding someone, spreading rumours, or manipulating friendships. Cyberbullying: Any bullying that takes place through digital platforms or devices. Emotional/Relational Bullying: Hurting someone’s self-esteem or manipulating their feelings. Policy Statement: Our camp has a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying. We are committed to creating an environment where all children can participate in activities without fear of harm, intimidation, or discrimination. Any form of bullying, whether physical, verbal, emotional, or online, will be addressed promptly and effectively. Procedures: If your child is a victim or witness of bullying, immediately report it to an activity leader. Camp staff will investigate all reports of bullying and take appropriate actions. The camp will provide support for both the victim and the child involved in bullying, aiming to educate and prevent further incidents. First Offense: A warning, and a meeting with the child to discuss the behaviour and its effects. Second Offense: A meeting with the child and their parents to discuss the bullying incident and develop a plan for improvement. Severe or Repeated Offense: Potential suspension or removal from the camp, depending on the severity of the bullying.

No phones policy
** Booking your child onto our activity camp means that you, as the parent/carer for the child accepts the terms and conditions for this policy. ** A "no phones or tablets" policy for our activity camps is a common practice, and it has several benefits for both the children and the camp environment. Here’s why we have implemented this policy: Encourages Social Interaction: Without the distraction of screens, children are more likely to interact with their peers face-to-face, encouraging stronger friendships and communication skills. Promotes Physical Activity: The main goal of activity camps is to get children active. A no-phone policy ensures that kids are engaged in activities rather than spending time on devices. Focus on the Experience: Children can fully immerse themselves in the camp experience, from the games and outdoor activities to learning new skills, without the distraction of social media or texting. Encourages Mindfulness: A break from screens can help kids focus on their surroundings, developing mindfulness and an appreciation for nature and real-world experiences. Safety and Supervision: Limiting phone access ensures that children are always within the camp's supervision, reducing the risks associated with unsupervised internet use or texting. In the case of an emergency, members of staff on site will contact the emergency contact on the booking form.
