A summary

Our SEND HAF Summer Scheme provides a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where children and young people can have fun, make friends and develop new skills during the school holidays. Participants will take part in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, sensory activities, cooking, outdoor play, trips and themed workshops. Through these activities, children will have opportunities to build confidence, improve communication and social skills, develop independence, strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills, and try new experiences. The programme is designed to support children's wellbeing while encouraging creativity, physical activity and positive friendships in a fun and engaging setting.

Ambition Aspire Achievve

Ambition Aspire Achieve (AAA) is a Newham-based charity supporting children, young people and families through a wide range of activities, clubs and projects. We provide safe, inclusive and engaging opportunities that help young people build confidence, develop skills, improve wellbeing and reach their full potential. Our programmes include holiday activities, youth clubs, SEND provision, sports, outdoor learning, mentoring and wellbeing support.

Suitable for

This programme is designed for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who can be supported within a 1:4 staffing ratio (one member of staff to four children/young people). Please note that we are unable to provide higher levels of support, including 1:1 support, personal care or toileting support Children attending the programme will take part in activities within a large group environment. Therefore, the scheme may not be suitable for children who are unable to safely participate in group activities or who require a quieter, more individualised setting. The SEND HAF programme will be delivered on the same site as our mainstream holiday playscheme, meaning children will be sharing some spaces with non-SEND children attending activities on site.
