About your mentors
Guildford Shakespeare Company
Love theatre and drama? Come take part!
Guildford Shakespeare began with a simple mission to create exceptional theatre in extraordinary places. By re-igniting people’s passion for theatre-going we've sought to break down the boundaries that preclude participation, encouraging inclusivity and accessibility for everyone. The GSC Outreach and Education department work with some 24,000 people, young and old, across the region, in a variety of settings. A large part of this work is aimed at improving engagement for socially excluded groups and the least advantaged in our community. Projects range from primary after-school clubs to programmes for families with teenagers living with mental health challenges and Young Carers
Georgie
Fun comes first!
I come from a dancing background; it was competing in the lyrical category that first drew me to acting as a craft. For the last 10 years I've trained and worked in the industry, on a variety of projects and roles (favourite: a month-long residency at the Globe in 2024!). I earned my master's degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was able to hone many other skills besides acting whilst I was there. I also learned from a number of vastly different practitioners and am excited to put what I took from them into practice as a drama teacher myself!
Jemima Solway
Drama facilitator
I am a freelance facilitator with a huge passion for performing arts and theatre. I have experience teaching acting, dancing and singing and love to share my love of performing with young people and adults alike. My sessions are fun, collaborative and creative, with plenty of opportunities for sharing ideas, making new friends and playing games.
