What we'll do

Explorer Quest – Mission: Find Your Way This session is all about adventure, exploration and discovering new places. Together we will learn how to read maps, understand different types of maps and use a compass to navigate through the woodland. Along the way, participants will take on a series of challenges, follow clues and put their new skills to the test as they complete an exciting orienteering course. We will guide participants through each stage, helping them build confidence as they learn how to find their way, work as a team and solve problems outdoors. There will also be plenty of opportunities to explore our beautiful woodland and discover hidden corners of the site. Lunch will be cooked over the fire and refreshments will be available throughout the session. These sessions are for families, so all children will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian

At Great Leaps, our purpose is to provide access to woodland and outdoor adventure opportunities; delivering structured courses or experiences while providing educational, mental health awareness and employment support, designed around your requirements.

Joining Instructions

These sessions are for families so all children will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our location is inclusive, however if your child has a disability or other specific needs, please contact us at and we’ll be happy to discuss suitability. Please arrive before 10am so that we can start promptly to maximise the day for you. Please dress according to the weather as we will be outside for the whole session. Please park in the lower carpark, inside the gate and you will be met by the Great Leaps Team and taken to the location for the day.
