What we'll do
Motiv8 and Gosport Borough Council are running 8 days of fun for young people born between 1st September 2009 and 31st August 2014. Involving food, inflatables, arts and crafts, sports activities, workshops from local organisations, youth services and so much more. Summer Passport gives young people free activities to meet safely and have fun throughout the Summer in various open spaces. Motiv8 creates safer more connected communities. Taking a Youth Work approach, we empower young people through trusted relationships. Our expert teams build on what is strong not what is wrong ensuring the right provision is available at the right time, in a way that is right for each young person. Supporting young people aged 9 to 19 (25 with SEND or Care experience) and their families in four of the UK’s most underinvested in coastal communities - Gosport, Fareham, Portsmouth, and Havant – and across Hampshire everything we do is free, grounded in lived experience, and delivered where people live. We delivered through eight interconnected strands that ‘wrap around’ all parts of a young person’s life: Youth Voice & Influence, Youth in Community, Youth & Family, Youth Mentoring, Youth Health & Wellbeing, Youth Skills, Youth Futures, and Youth Hubs. Whatever their story, Motiv8 offers life chances for young people.
A summary
Motiv8 and Gosport Borough Council operate this scheme in partnership with a number of local organisations. Additional funding received from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Naval Children's Charity, Abri Housing, and Tesco. Thank you to everyone who supports the Passport Scheme and enables this to run.
