Perfect for all young people, whether you're a complete beginner or fancy yourself a budding croquet champion, this fun-filled day promises laughter and friendly competition. Join us to learn the ropes of this classic lawn game. Our friendly instructors will guide you through the basics of swinging the mallet, aiming for the hoops, and understanding the simple yet engaging rules of croquet. You'll quickly pick up the techniques, develop your hand-eye coordination, and discover the satisfying challenge of navigating the court. Beyond the game itself, our Croquet is all about teamwork, good sportsmanship, and enjoying the outdoors. We'll have plenty of opportunities for practice, mini-games, and perhaps even a tournament by the end of the day to showcase your new skills! Eligility Criteria
Godalming Youth Service is part of Godalming Town Council. Because of this, only residents of Godalming's neighbourhoods (eg: Farncombe, Aaron's Hill, Godalming Central, Ockford Ridge, Busbridge) will be allocated places. For young people wanting to access our activities for the first time, we will ask that they attend a Broadwater Youth Centre based day BEFORE accepting any bookings for a youth day out. Further details of Town Council's Parish boundaries are available here: https://godalming-tc.gov.uk/town-council-overview/ We also welcome young people from the following surrounding areas outside our Parish boundaries: Witley, Milford, Compton.
