Glow Baby Summer Holiday Club block mentored by Glow Baby Play Centre

What we'll do

Our holiday club would take place in the Summer holidays and we would begin the day at 9:30am where will begin with registration, some mindfulness activities including positive affirmation work as well as working with big emotions, starting our day in a positive head space to begin our learning journey. At 10:30am we will head over our private woodland and outside space where we will look at a different topic each day including environmental issues, different animals, forestry we well as conducting science experiments and some different activities that will also offer literacy and mathematical opportunities. At 11:30am we will head back to the centre for lunch provided by us which will be a sandwich with fruit and a drink, the children will also have some free time to play in the sensory room to focus on their independence and social interactions as well as lots of opportunity for physical movement with sensory circuits and climbing. We have a ball pit and soft play which is fantastic for gross motor stimulation and teamwork as they work and play together. At 12:30pm we will engage in a creative activity in our arts and crafts zone which will include things like junk modelling using recycled materials from the centre as well as process art to learn from the process and not the product. There will also be the chance to really get stuck into projects that can be taken home that will give the children something to be proud of and to show their parents or carers what they have been learning about during their time with us. Our session will then finish at 1:30pm.
