What we'll do

Each morning this spring, we’ll roll up our sleeves and get cooking Maybe it’s zesty lemon muffins, rainbow veggie wraps the children design themselves, or mini handmade pizzas topped with fresh seasonal ingredients. Children will chop, mix, taste, and take pride in creating something real — building confidence, independence, and practical skills along the way. After cooking, we’ll dive into our Spring Creativity Sessions. This isn’t just arts and crafts — it’s hands-on seasonal making. Children might paint bright blossom landscapes with watercolours, craft clay baby animals, design nature collages with pressed flowers, or create colourful kites and wind catchers inspired by the changing season. Hands busy, imaginations buzzing, and plenty of space for self-expression. Then it’s time to head outdoors Spring means fresh air and movement. Nothing rigid or overly structured — just real, joyful play. Children can choose their adventure: team tag games, obstacle courses they invent, skipping challenges, Frisbee throw-offs, chalk art competitions, or simply running, climbing, and creating games together. It’s their space to move freely, build friendships, and burn off energy. We finish each day gathered together for a big group board game. Maybe it’s a fast-paced round of Dobble, a cooperative mystery with Outfoxed!, or a creative storytelling challenge with Dixit. It’s calm, social, and the perfect way to wind down — everyone leaves feeling connected and accomplished. Spring HAF Special Experiences This spring, we also have some incredible surprises planned: 07/04 – Airbus STEM Workshop An exciting hands-on session delivered by the Airbus team, where children will explore engineering, creativity and problem-solving through engaging STEM challenges. 08/04 – We The Curious Trip A full day of discovery and exploration at We The Curious in Bristol. Children will experience interactive science exhibits, immersive learning spaces, and activities designed to spark curiosity and big thinking. 14/04 – Cooking Trip to Chew Valley A special off-site cooking experience where children will take part in a guided food session, learning new skills and creating something delicious in a real culinary setting.
