About your mentor
Fulfen Primary School
Have an insight into the Club manger at Fulfen Primary
After leaving education, I achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. I completed my training placement at Fulfen Primary School, where I was subsequently offered a permanent position. I initially worked within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) department as a Nursery Nurse for seven years. During this time, I developed strong skills in supporting early childhood development, planning activities in line with the EYFS framework, and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment. I then progressed into the main school, working as a Teaching Assistant in Year 1 and Year 2. In this role, I discovered a particular strength and passion for supporting children with additional learning needs. I planned and delivered targeted intervention sessions in the afternoons, providing tailored support to help pupils reach their full potential. In 2019, when Fulfen Primary School established its wraparound care provision, I was appointed as the Before and After School Club Manager. In this role, I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the provision, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, activity planning, and effective communication with parents and staff.
