A summary
Come along term time on a Friday Morning (9.30 - 11am) to our new 0-5 Stay and Play session. Craft invitations, forest play, and a chance to chat with likeminded people! Mud kitchen, den building, teddy bear hunts, rope swings, conker play. Our new group will offer a chance to slow down in nature and connect with the changing of the sessions, while children enjoy playing in nature. When conditions allow we will offer a hot drink and small snack. This is a free session, with donations appreciated to cover consumables.

Play and Connection with Nature
My name is Sarah. I’m based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. With 10 years experience in the Early Years Sector, I qualified as a Forest School Leader in 2023, with Forest School Association recognised training provider, Where The Fruit Is. I have and MA in Education, and a qualification in teaching children’s yoga. I am currently training with The Therapeutic Forest to add a Therapeutic Skills to my practice.
What to wear
Forest School sessions will happen in all sorts of weather. The children and adults at forest school should be dressed appropriately. • Waterproof jacket and Waterproof trousers/ all-in-one suits. • Wellies or appropriate footwear • Warm layers in cold weather • Warm hat and gloves in cold weather • Sun hats, Suncream and light, long sleeved clothing in the warm weather
Where to meet
Wherever possible please consider walking or cycling to the site as there is limited parking. The is a bus stop less than half a mile walk away on Drayton Road has the NX2, and 43 bus services stopping regularly. To park please drive past the Stonehill House driveway, and further down the lane to Stonehill Community Garden on the left. There will be an open gate to park in the field there. We will meet as a group at the gate of the car park before the short walk down to the forest site. If you arrive after the group has left please call the number provided and someone will meet you.
