What we'll do
Children will meet at Butterflies Family Hub building and have light, breakfast snacks before travelling by coach with the Family Hub staff to the venue. The children will become ‘forest venturers’ for the day, this includes building dens, creating a fire and learning a range of forest crafts and skills. The children will create their own lunch of handmade pizza to enjoy under the canopy of the forest before ending the day toasting marshmallows around the campfire. The children will then travel back to the Family Hub by coach with the Family Hub staff. Suitable for primary school children aged 6-11 years. If your child requires extra support due to SEND or any other needs, please provide as much information as possible through the Eequ booking site. There is a SEND accessibility checklist on each listing so you know which activities can meet your child’s needs. We will make ‘reasonable adjustments’ where possible, we will work with parents/carers to ensure the safety of your child/children with SEND and all other children attending. We request for children to NOT bring any personal items to the events, for example mobile phones, toys etc due to safeguarding reasons and these will not be needed. They are an unhelpful distraction and the children will be busy with the activities.
