What we'll do
Join us for a three-day drama workshop in Friston Forest, set within the beautiful surroundings of the South Downs National Park. This workshop is designed especially for 11-15-year-olds and focuses on building confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a relaxed, supportive environment. We’ll use improvisation and practical drama exercises to explore ideas around forests – from myths and survival stories to environmental themes and imaginary worlds. There’s no pressure to perform and no fear of getting things wrong. It’s about trying things out, taking creative risks, and learning by doing. We’ll mix acting and storytelling with movement, music, art, group challenges, outdoor games, and den building. Expect plenty of hands-on activities, collaboration, and chances to shape your own ideas into short dramatic pieces. Whether you already love drama or just want to try something different, you’ll be encouraged to step outside your comfort zone at your own pace. The workshop is led by a qualified children’s drama therapy coach from Dragon Drama, creating a space that’s inclusive, welcoming, and grounded. It’s a chance to get outdoors, meet new people, and develop creative skills while working together in one of the South Downs’ most inspiring settings.
