A summary

Welcome to Fargo Youth Club — a vibrant collaboration at Fargo Village designed to give young people an unforgettable, eye-opening day of movement, creativity, and wellbeing. Young people will take part in parkour and dance with Ascension, and wellness sessions with Human Collective. Everyone will have the opportunity to try each activity, with all equipment provided — making it easy to explore new possibilities, challenge yourself, and hopefully leave with new friends and a freshly sparked curiosity. Food: Provided for HAF participants. Non-HAF participants should bring a packed lunch. Ascension

Empowering peopple thourgh dance and movement

Ascension uses Parkour and Dance to empower and inspire people. Based in the heart of Coventry at their home, Studio 17, they run classes for all ages, including young people with additional needs. Our goal isn’t just to create the next generation of dancers (though that would be amazing); it’s to use movement to develop resilient, well-rounded humans. Join a class and experience the warmth and community vibe for yourself.

Company Director

AJ, Company Director of Ascension, is a warm and energising presence, always seeking new ways to get people moving and to share the joy he discovered in movement as a young person. He thrives on seeing someone achieve something they once thought impossible and is excited to support new participants as they discover their own potential through Ascension workshops.

Ben Morley

Empowerning people through dance and movement

Ascension Dance Company, founded in 2017 by company directors Ashley Jordan and Ben Morley, produces high-quality contemporary dance work. Its focus is on fusing contemporary movement with movement from physical dance forms and movement styles such as parkour.

What shall I bring..

HAF Participants Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and trainers. No crocs, sliders, sandals, or jeans, as these will restrict movement. We recommend long jogging bottoms or trousers due to the nature of the activities being provided. Bring a water bottle and a snack. Food will be provided, but if your child is a picky eater, please contact us about the meal or pack a backup lunch just in case. It will be an active day, and everyone needs to stay well-fuelled. Jump, roll and balance with Ascension & Human Collective in a fun day of movement. Grasp the unique opportunity to try 3 new activities and develop confidence and movement skills. What food is provided? A healthy, hot main meal and dessert will be provided each day of the workshop by Nor Aziz / Burning Plough LTD. What provision is there for Children with SEND? We strive to make our workshops inclusive and accessible for all young people with our artists / Coaches understanding how to manage a range of ability levels. Adaptations to the session can be facilitated during the workshop to support this. Please note that our activities will be very physical in nature as outlined in the description. What should children bring and what should they wear? Children should arrive in comfortable clothing that they are able to move in (i.e. leggings/joggers and a t-shirt) and trainers. Sensible footwear is a necessity when working on set equipment, so do make sure you bring or arrive in trainers for the full workshop. They should wear lots of layers so that they're able to keep warm and bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Contact details for Parents.
