Family Nature Trail

As part of our weekly family activities, we have planned an exciting and adventurous outdoor activity so you can not only learn to enjoy outdoor activities but also connect with nature as a family.

You will enjoy a scenic walk around the nature trails of Hollingworth Lake with other families and learn about different parts of nature surrounding the park.

The hike is easy and suitable for children, so they are more than welcome to join us. The trail is also buggy/pram-friendly. It will be led by a qualified Muslim female outdoor instructor.

We'll be meeting at Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough, OL15 0DQ (in the Lake Bank car park) at 4.45pm. There are two other car parks around the lake. If you happen to park in any other car parks, please find your way to the Lake Bank car park.

We expect to start the walk by 5pm, so please don't be late. The walk will take approximately 1.5hrs with a break in-between, so we expect to finish by 7pm.

We've got loads of fun planned along the way and will even provide some yummy refreshments to keep you energised throughout the walk!

Please ensure you and your children wear suitable clothing and footwear to walk on rough, uneven terrain. It may also be a good idea to bring your own water/drinks/snacks.

Toilet facilities will only be available in the beginning and at the end of the trail, so take prior preparations.

The activity is free for you and your family. However, there is a small contribution of £3.50 to help us with the cost of providing food and refreshments.
