A summary
Join us at he Hub on the Port (Maryport) for a summer of arts, craft, games, sport and fun! Alongside our activities in the Hub we have Solway STEM and Active Future providing fun and engaging workshops. Sessions are for children only, parent/carers are not required to stay. Sessions will run for 4 hours and as part of the session all children will receive a meal. Some activities may take place outside and physical activity will be part of everyday so please dress your children accordingly. Active Future Workshop Wednesday 22nd July & 12th August Our movement sessions are shaped around what the children need and enjoy. This might be organised team sports, chasing games, or even old favourites like hide and seek. The goal is always the same: making movement fun. Solway STEM Academy workshop - Wednesday 29th July & 5th August At a Solway STEM Academy session, children don’t just sit and listen — they get stuck in with hands-on activities that make science, technology, engineering and maths feel exciting and real. Every workshop is carefully linked to the National Curriculum so what they learn builds on the knowledge they’re already studying at school. But more importantly, each session connects that learning to real-world engineering tasks and processes, helping children understand why STEM matters and how it shapes the world around them. These sessions are open to all children, if you do not meet the eligibility criteria for HAF, please select OTHER. There is a small car park adjacent to the hub. If parent/carers would like to know more about Family Hubs and the support they can offer, you are welcome to speak to a member of staff before or after the session.

About your mentors
Family Hub on the Port
A welcoming space for families in Cumberland
.A Family Hub is a place where families can access multiple services under one roof, a one-stop shop, aimed at improving their overall wellbeing and helping them navigate challenges they might be facing. Services will become more easily accessible by bringing them together in one location, often with flexible hours, so that families can receive support in one place rather than having to go to several different agencies or organisations. Family Hubs aim to strengthen families, help prevent problems before they arise, and provide families with the tools they need to thrive.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
