A summary
This day will offer two different Experiences ... 1) Immersive, cutting-edge gaming offering a glimpse into the professional world of Esports as well as F1 Driving simulators. 2) Playing basketball and other sports at the Westwood Sports Hall (next to the Athletic's Track) with support from the Warwickshire Institute of Sport coaches based at Warwick University Alongside the sports action, kids will gain valuable insights into nutrition and well-being, making these experience days a perfect blend of physical activity and personal growth. Day Outline: 9.00 - Arrive at Warwick University Athletic Track for registration 9.30 - Group 1 Walks to ESports Centre 10.00-11.45am - Group 1 ESports Gaming Session + walk to Athletics Track 10.00-12.00 - Group 2 Sports Session in Westwood Sports Hall 12.00 - Both groups enjoying a hot meal together in the Godiva Room. Well-Being and nutrition education led by Warwickshire Institute of Sport 12.30 - Group 2 Walk to ESports Centre 13.00-15.00 - Group 1 Sports Session in Westwood Sports Hall 13.00-14.45 - Group 2 ESports Gaming Session + walk to Athletics Track 15.15 - All Participants Depart Warwick University Athletic Track What to Wear and What to Bring? If you have a Guardian Ballers T-shirt, PLEASE WEAR IT! If you've never participated in a GB programme and do not have a T-shirt, we will give you one. Wear trainers and clothing to participate in sport/games. Please bring a water bottle which we can refill on site.

We empower young people through engagement in Basketball [BALL] activities, education around mental-and-emotional wellbeing and identity [BE] and facilitation of practical experiences to serve local communities and charitable organisations [BETTER]. We work with young people from areas of socio-economic disadvantage, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicities backgrounds and a minimum of half of our participants are Female. We target such populations (not excluding others) to tackle disparities in mental health, physical activity and societal-leadership statistics.
