A summary
This September, Naturebytes is launching the Eco-Active - an exciting outdoor programme for young people aged 12–16 in East Sussex. Eco-Active is a free, hands-on youth program for ages 12–16 who want to explore, learn, and take action for the planet. Designed by young people, for young people, members head outdoors for guided hikes through local nature reserves, discover how conservation technology is used to protect wildlife, and take part in projects that make a real difference for the environment. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, discovery, and action! Sessions take place on Saturdays thoughtout the year, alternating between Hastings Country Park and The Seven Sisters, rain or shine, so participants can enjoy nature in every season! What to Expect: Explore & Move – Join weekly weekend sessions filled with wildlife discovery, conservation skills, and physical activity in inspiring landscapes. Skill-Building Adventures – Learn to navigate trails, use wildlife cameras and digital tools, and take part in hands-on habitat improvement. Youth-Led & Expert-Guided – Sessions are led by experienced conservation and outdoor education experts, shaped by young participants. Build Confidence & Connection – Meet new friends, boost your wellbeing, and get active in a fun, supportive environment. Sign Up Now to join the Ec-Active at Hastings Country Park and Seven Sisters. Free spaces are limited, and transport support is available. This programme is made possible with support from Sport England, The Fore and the South Downs National Park Authority.
