About your mentor
Jamie-Leigh Sabin-Staines
Service Manager
I began volunteering in youth clubs at 17, an experience that completely shaped the direction of my life. It was there that I discovered my passion for Youth Work — a vocation I have remained committed to ever since. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Youth and Community Work and have undertaken extensive professional development in areas including Mental Health, Sexual Health, Autism, Special Educational Needs, and Trauma-Informed Practice. With 17 years of frontline experience, I bring both professional knowledge, personal and practical understanding to my work with young people. I have worked within the Yate community for a total of 12 years — 10 consecutively in my current period of service, alongside two previous years earlier in my career. I currently manage youth provision across Brimsham Youth Wing, St Nix Youth Centre, and the Urbie detached project, leading services that support and empower young people across the area.
