Earthwake - Outdoor Play Activity Days

Held in the grounds of Ilketshall St Lawrence Primary, the Earthwake staff facilitate a huge range of activities during their activity days, allowing the children freedom and choice. We are flexible and adaptable and encourage the children to try new things, become involved, work as teams and learn from everyone present. Our summer 2026 sessions will be very child-led, with the following activities an option: tool use, den building, green woodworking, construction, natural arts and crafts, invertebrate hunting, safe fire-lighting, relaxing in hammocks, games, sports, cooking and eating together. Lunch and snacks will be provided - we offer variety and choice. If the weather and group allows, we will cook outside, providing hot food by cooking on the fire and on camping gas stoves. Healthy eating and trying new foods is encouraged, in a very gentle and sensitive way, with a 'taste it, try it' table. We will think about the wildlife around us, and enjoy getting closer to nature, as we explore what lives here. We encourage enjoyment of being together, outside. Our activity day is from 10am - 3pm, but we can offer some childcare spaces either side of this, from 9am to 5pm. There will be an additional charge for this extra time.
