A summary
Our Deep Nature Connection Camp is the first 'drop-in' camp on The Phoenix Journey, an exciting Sacred Earth adventure. This five-day, intergenerational camp focuses on deep nature connection and inter-species communication. If you can't attend the whole camp, day tickets are available. Itinerary: Friday 24th May: Arrive from 1pm onwards, set up camp, 6pm supper. Saturday 25th May: The attributes of connection. (Day tickets available) What are the Attributes of Connection? How do we measure our the levels of connection by these simple attributes? What ways can we enhance each one of them? This day is a beautiful, gentle exploration into the 8 Shields that support our deepest nature connection and social resilience, nature within people, people within nature.. Stilling the mind chatter, finding childlike happiness deep within us, creating vitality on our bodies, deep listening to the land and each other, building empathy, love and compassion for nature, others and sometimes more importantly for ourselves, becoming truly helpful and fully alive. All of these are just essences and flavours of the feats that we can create together in a regenerative way, becoming and being the change that we want to see in the world, on behalf our selves, our communities and all of life. What concentric ring will this make in the space between us out into the world around us? Sunday 26th May: The Four Elements - through the principles of survival - relating to shelter/fire. (Day tickets available) Monday 27th May: The Beauty of Bird Language. (Day tickets available) Tuesday 28th May: Talking with Trees and Interspecies Communication. (Day tickets available) Wednesday 29th May: Wrapping the bundle/closing ceremony. Individual days on a drop-in ticket (timings are 10.00am to 5.00pm, light lunch provided) This course will be held on the land at Sacred Earth, where we have 40 acres of beautiful woodland, lakes and meadows. Delicious, nutritious food will be provided throughout. ... For those interested in the full year long journey it is a unique quest; blending shamanic practitioner training, nature-based mentoring and cultural regeneration. It will support you to find your own sense of place, purpose and belonging. (While this year's journey will have begun - beginning of May 2024 -you are still welcome to join the remaining workshops. Hello, I'm Phil Greenwood. I am the founder of Sacred Earth. I'm a former Royal Marine Commando but have spent the last 20 years working with young people in outdoor education and taking adults on deep nature connection journeys. I'm an experienced group facilitator, mentor and naturalist. I have studied, practiced and taught advanced shamanic and connection practices from both the British Isles and other indigenous cultures around the world. I'm also part of the global 8 Shields nature mentoring movement. I strongly believe that people need nature based rites-of-passage programmes to help them find their place in the world. At Sacred Earth we aim to do just that. Our courses and programmes help people develop their social and emotional intelligence through a range of experiential learning programmes, which can be tailored to and delivered at a site of your choice. We encourage creativity, community, ingenuity and a deep connection with the natural world.
