A summary

Parking is at the Rowing Club carpark where you will be met by Steve who will direct you to the Sea Cadet Unit. You will be met by Ann who will register you in and direct you inside. Mike and the rest of the team will be there to show you around and introduce you to others. Once parents have left then we will begin with Mike our Drama coach who will take you through a fun session of drama games to help break the ice and so you can get to know names and a bit about all the other children. After drama we will split you into 2 groups and you will work in that group during team building activities and enrichment. In the morning, group 1 will be indoors preparing their own lunch. Group 2 will be outside, weather permitting, planning their own obstacle course and running it. After a short drinks break, both groups will swap before another drink/snack break and some FREE time where you will have lots of arts and crafts, colouring, games and activities whilst we prepare the tables for lunch. you will all be offered a hot meal that you will have helped prepare and cook, with tastings and more. On some days we will also provide BBQ's and picnics, weather permitting. Dietary conditions are catered for. You will all have lunch together giving you more time to get to know each other. After lunch we will clear the table and all go outside for a treasure hunt, followed by a game of rounders or kite flying practice. There will be footballs available for those of you that would prefer a kick around, plus giant garden games and more. During the day the groups will be given points for attitude, team work etc and the winning team will get to choose the final drama game with Mike. Drinks and snacks will be available all day as will a selection of fresh fruit. There is a quiet room when needed and someone will be based inside for those of you that do not wish to go out, although we would love you all to join in the fun. There may be a water fight, slip and slide (these will be highlighted a day before the event so a change of clothes may be appropriate) and lots more outdoor fun throughout the sessions. Participants will not be able to leave on their own and need to be picked up by a nominated adult at the end of the session. Fill your days with fun and laughter. our arts and craft area will include jewellery making, board games and mindfulness colouring and more

Be safe around and on water. have fun discovering the wonder of water without getting wet.

learn how to work as part of a team and support each other through creating obstacle courses and other team buiding activities

learn how to fly a kite and play rounders and create obstacle courses and treasure hunts
