What we'll do

Join us for a fun-filled festive experience at Connect IOW! Our Christmas Lunch Activity Day is packed with creativity, good food and holiday cheer. Young people will take part in preparing a delicious Christmas-style lunch together, learn simple cooking skills they can use at home and make seasonal snacks and decorations to keep or gift. The day will also include games, music and plenty of time to socialise in a warm, supportive environment. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season, make new friends and enjoy a meaningful, hands-on festive experience.

We are a local charity providing high quality respite and bespoke support services for adults and children with additional needs on the Isle of Wight. We offer a variety of services including 1:1 support and group sessions. Everything we do is tailor made to the individual requirements of each of our service users.

Plan for the day

The day will run from 10am to 2pm. We’ll start with fun icebreakers and festive games to help everyone settle in and get to know each other. Late morning will be focused on preparing our Christmas-style lunch together, learning simple, healthy cooking skills. After enjoying our meal, we’ll spend the afternoon creating seasonal snacks and decorations to take home, before finishing with relaxed group activities, music, and a warm festive send-off.
