Garden Project
Gardening and outdoor activities benefit children and young people with SEND by improving physical health, motor skills, and fitness. It boosts mental well-being by reducing stress, building self-esteem, and providing sensory stimulation. Gardening enhances cognitive skills like problem-solving and focus, while fostering teamwork, social skills, and independence. It also encourages environmental awareness and creativity. The hands-on nature of gardening helps children develop responsibility, routine, and life skills, all while building a connection to nature, promoting emotional well-being, and offering an opportunity for creative expression.
