A summary
Our sessions are designed especially for autistic and neurodivergent children, facilitated by a specialist speech and music therapist. Families are welcomed into a calm, inclusive space where music is used to build communication, confidence, and connection. Children engage in structured musical activities like action songs, instrument play, and turn-taking games within a predictable routine. This approach, using visual cues and repetition, helps each child feel safe and supported to participate at their own pace. The focus is on celebrating strengths in an autism-friendly environment. With gentle encouragement, children can express themselves through listening, movement, vocalising, or signing, while parents and carers join in to support bonding and shared joy.

About your mentors
Autism Embrace for Mothers and Children
Empowering neurodiverse kids & their families
Autism Embrace for Mothers and Children was founded by a group of passionate mothers who have firsthand experience in raising autistic children. Our journey began with the desire to create a safe and supportive space for families facing the challenges of autism. Through our Support Groups, Therapeutic Workshops, and Parenting Resources, we aim to empower mothers and children with the tools and guidance they need to thrive. Our personal connection to autism drives our commitment to making a positive impact in our community, one family at a time. In addition to our lived experience, we are proud to share that our team includes NHS healthcare professionals who bring their expertise and dedication to supporting families navigating autism. This unique combination of professional knowledge and personal understanding ensures we offer compassionate, evidence-based support tailored to meet the needs of every family we work with.
deqa muse
Passionate supporter of neurodiverse children
My advocacy is grounded in lived experience as a parent of an autistic child. I work to challenge gaps in services, raise awareness of the realities families face, and push for systems that are inclusive, trauma-informed, and responsive. My goal is to ensure families are not left to navigate complex processes alone, but are supported from the very beginning.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What if my child doesn’t want to join in? That’s absolutely okay. Children are never pressured to participate. They can watch, listen, move around, vocalise, or take breaks as needed. Many children join in gradually once they feel safe and familiar with the music and routine. Does my child need to be verbal? No. Children do not need to use spoken language to attend. Communication through sounds, gestures, movement, signing, or alternative communication is fully welcomed and respected. What should we bring? Just yourselves. All instruments and materials are provided. Children are welcome to bring comfort items if these help them feel settled. Can parents or carers stay? Yes. Parents and carers must stay with their child throughout the session and are encouraged to join in if helpful.
