A summary
Creative activities and delicious food! Join Collective Encounters The Winter Music Taster is an opportunity for young people to explore music making, lyric writing, and performance, while making new friends and eating delicious food in a safe and fun environment. Working with professional musicians, young people will take part in workshops to explore their musical interests, express themselves, and have the chance to write and record a group song over the course of four days. Workshops will include games to help us stay active, build connections, and increase confidence. We will also take a trip to see the Rock n Roll Panto at the Everyman Theatre to take inspiration from this much-loved show that is packed full of live music and laughter. A healthy hot lunch will be provided each day. Young people will be involved in food preparation and engaged in discussions about nutrition and the food they like, with the daily menu being developed with their input. We have a participatory theatre programme that stretches across the Liverpool City Region and extend an open invitation to everyone to come and get involved. Our learning events and resources are deigned for artists, academics and activists at any stage of their career. Our creative participatory research approach is used by local authorities, NGO’s, academic and other public agencies and enable everyone to come together in critical inquiry to strengthen and develop their own communities.
