A summary
Ever heard of 3x3 basketball? It's currently ranked the number 1 urban sport around the world because of it's fast pace play and easy accessibility to take part. The common term used by Basketball England about 3x3 is 'Street to Elite' as players who originally started out playing at their local basketball court have now turned professional in this alternative style of basketball. At the last Commonwealth Games, Birmingham 2022 England walked away with Men's Gold & Women's Silver medals so we feel it is important to keep up the momentum, especially with the lead up to the next Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this year. So during the Summer Holiday we will be providing 3x3 camps over the course of 3 days, to allow 11-16 year olds the chance to experience the game that is taking the world by storm. If you fancy giving it a try, come to 1 or all of our 3 day camps this winter. During the camp days, our skilled coaches will also be covering: 1. 1v1 play, how to create and maintain advantages against a defender 2. 2v2 & 3v3 play, how to use the half court space affectively in order to be successful 3. How to make your own independent decisions based on our fun scenario based drills. We'll break off into age/skill based groups where you'll be given a scenario with multiple solutions and you will be given the independence on how to achieve the best outcome with the support of our coaches. Our lunch changes every day. We usually have either pasta, rice or jacket potato that comes with a choice of healthy fillings (this includes a vegetarian option). Fruit, yoghurts, drinks & snacks are also provided each day.

Where everyone’s game can grow
About Chain Net 3x3 Camps Chain Net has been developing basketball players and growing the game for over 8 years in Portsmouth, including 3 years as a Community Interest Company (CIC). Led by our Founder and Head Coach — Craig Hughes, a Basketball England Level 2 coach with 30+ years’ experience as both a player and coach, our camps are built around one simple belief: basketball should be for everyone. We welcome complete beginners, recreational players, and aspiring competitors alike. Whether this is your first time picking up a basketball or you’re looking to sharpen your game, our 3x3 camps are designed to support development at every stage. What is 3x3 Basketball? 3x3 is a fast-paced, exciting format of basketball played on one half of the court with three players per team. Games are shorter, more intense, and put a huge focus on: Skill development Decision-making Fitness Confidence with the ball It’s the format that connects street basketball to the highest levels of the sport. Easy to access, energetic, and fun, 3x3 is now played worldwide — from local courts to the global stage. Why 3x3 Matters 3x3 is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. It’s now part of major international competitions, including the Commonwealth Games, where England’s men won gold and the women won silver at the most recent Games. With another Commonwealth Games on the horizon, opportunities in 3x3 — for players, coaches, and communities — continue to grow. Our Head Coach has coached 3x3 at international competition, including the EUSA Games in Poland, bringing that experience back to grassroots players in a way that is inclusive, supportive, and motivating. What to Expect at Our Camps A positive, welcoming environment Coaching that focuses on skill, confidence, and game understanding Clear pathways for players who want to progress Emphasis on enjoyment, effort, and improvement A space where everyone belongs, regardless of experience 3x3 is independent, modern, and built for today’s players — and our camps reflect that. Whether you’re here to try something new, build your skills, or take your basketball further, Chain Net 3x3 Camps are a great place to start.
