About your mentor
Community Capacity Builders CIO
Empowering Lives, Enriching Futures
Community Capacity Builders is a non-profit organisation formed in 2019 to assist in the support of disadvantaged and vulnerable children, young people and adults living in the Liverpool City Region. This includes those suffering from mental and/or physical illness, through our provision of a range of mental health therapy, physical activities and financial education activities. We are delivering services that are not readily available through statutory authorities, or affordable through private provision. Our outcomes are to improve, facilitate and empower personal growth and improve life-chances through the delivery of our structured programmes. We have decades of combined experience of working with charities/not-for-profit organisations ranging from children/young people, mental-health and post-cancer patient care. Since we were formed 4 years ago, we have helped improve the health, well-being and quality of life of thousands of people locally. We are also in the process of changing our legal status from a Community Interest Company (CIC) to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
Lunch Menu & Snacks
The children will have a mid-morning break and we will provide some bottled water and fresh fruit. At lunchtime we will have a choice of healthy nutritious sandwiches/rolls with a range of fillings, a piece of fruit and bottle of still water. We will also have some simple hot food options too courtesy of Bistro @ Willow Bank. If children have sensory issues with food, then they can opt to bring their own packed lunch (please let us know this via email). All children are encouraged to bring their own labelled bottle of water each day.
