What we'll do
Caudwell Children offer exciting and inclusive sessions for children and young people aged 8–18 years (up to 18 with SEND), designed to support those with additional needs in a safe and welcoming environment. Activities include: • Creative crafts - painting, planting own fruit and vegetables, well-being colouring, creating own collages with craft materials. Clay and play dough modelling. • Music and games - range of board games, group games, making tunes with sensory instruments. • Sports sessions - football on the Astroturf, basket ball, obstacle course using the climbing frame and tyres and an opportunity to use the school forest. • Opportunities to build friendships and social skills - there are a range of activities for children to participate in, they can explore different things and meet other children who have similar needs to them. Children are able to independently interact with others and engage in activities of their choosing, whilst building their personal confidence. Our nurturing approach ensures every child feels comfortable and supported. We tailor our sessions to meet individual needs, helping each child get the most out of their experience. Food and what to bring: • Please bring a snack for mid-morning • Please bring a water bottle, but we can provide one if needed • A hot lunch is included as part of the programme We’re here to help children grow, connect, and have fun. We can’t wait to welcome you!

About your mentors
Caudwell Children
West Midlands
Caudwell Children has always been shaped by listening to the people we support; the children and families who face incredible challenges just to get the same opportunities as everyone else. Founded in 2000 in Stoke-on-Trent, we have gradually developed our range of services to meet the needs of our beneficiaries and increased our reach to help as many children as possible. From supporting a few families in Staffordshire in 2000, we have grown into an international charity, helping over 78,500 children and counting from our home at the award-winning Caudwell International Children’s Centre at Keele University. With 90 team members and a global network of amazing volunteers and donors supporting our work, we strive to give disabled and autistic children the confidence and ability to reach their full potential. Caudwell Children exists to make life fair for disabled and autistic children. To change the world so that disabled and autistic children have the choice, opportunity, dignity and understanding they deserve.
