A summary

Children under 9 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Attendance is limited to one adult per family group. Children under 5 years are welcome as part of a family group. Wednesday 12th August 2026 : Cars and Parachutes Design and build a car using a variety of materials, which you will launch to see how far and fast it travels. The Bloodhound Car uses a parachute as one of its mechanisms to slow down safely. You will explore the science of air resistance through making and testing different types of parachutes and see the factors that affect drag. Join us in a fun, inclusive environment where you can explore engineering at your own pace. Each session features a brand-new activity, so there’s always something exciting to build and learn. ⚠️ Please cancel places if not able to attend. This enables another eligible child to take up the opportunity. ⚠️ Bookings that are not attended and for which we are not able to contact you, remaining bookings may be cancelled. This session is funded as part of the Milton Keynes City Council Holiday Activities and Food Programme to deliver sessions for school-aged children in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals (FSM) during the Summer school holidays in 2026.
