A summary
Each week the children will dive into a world of adventures. Such as exploring medieval activities at Carlisle Cathedral, uncovering Roman history at Tullie Carlisle, and going wild with Stomping Ground’s nature-based fun. They’ll get active with tennis, golf, yoga, Tai Chi, cycling with Rebike, and gardening - creating and crafting in our new community garden. We’ll visit Allonby beach, stopping for ice cream on the way home. Plus, sports, games, arts & crafts, Lego Masters, and bouncy castle fun to round out the activities. And to keep the energy up, we’ll provide refreshments, snacks, and nutritious lunches.

When you arrive
• Botcherby Community Centre is the Funcation base for this holiday season. Please arrive at the Centre, each morning for 10am sharp. As we spend much of our time off site, please be punctual, especially if we’re travelling by bus. We will not wait for you – if you are unavoidably late, we request that you to telephone the Community Centre on 01228 596992 asap. • Given the temperamental weather, please ensure your child arrives each day with sun cream and a sun hat, as well as a rain jacket. We’ll notify you in advance, of any special clothing or footwear (e.g. wellies), needed for a particular activity. • On arrival, your child will be registered by our Lead Worker for the day’s session. This time is an opportunity for you to share any information with staff, that you feel is relevant for the day ahead. Also, you must let staff know if someone else is collecting your child, or if your child is permitted to walk home alone, on this day. • Traffic is often horrendous, with this in mind, please allow yourself plenty of time when travelling to and from Botcherby Community Centre. End of day pick up is strictly 3pm.
Learning aim
Aim 1
Young people will be inspired by the sense of discovery, creativity, and adventure the club offers. As they explore new activities, learn about history, and connect with nature and each other.
