A summary
Twice a year, during the Easter and Summer breaks, Tropical Isles proudly hosts our Easter and Summer Camps, catering to approximately 110-300 children aged 5 to 13. These camps are bustling hubs of activity, where we offer a rich variety of programs that blend education with fun, fostering a love for learning and creativity among the young participants. Our carefully curated activities range from arts and crafts to music and dance, all designed to engage young minds and encourage self-expression. In addition to our educational programs, we place a strong emphasis on health and nutrition, providing healthy lunches to ensure that every child is nourished both mentally and physically. These camps not only offer a safe and stimulating environment for children to explore and grow but also serve as a cherished community resource that supports families during school breaks.

About your mentor
Tropical Isles
Be the best you can be!
Tropical Isles is a professional award-winning carnival arts organisation with creativity at its heart at our East London home in the Rose Lipman Building, we design and make costumes and create performances working with children and young people, professional designers and choreographers. Our year-round activity nurtures the artistic skills and creativity of the many artists we work with. It also provides a safe and supportive meeting place, a network of friends, and mentoring for young people from Hackney and surrounding areas. Each year we take part in major carnivals and events national and international. By celebrating festival and carnival traditions we support socially excluded and disadvantaged children and young people. A full complement of art forms that build physical literacy through dance and drama, visual literacy through costume, fashion, film, photography, and aural skills through music-making.
SEND & Medical Needs
While we make every effort to accommodate children with additional needs in our Carnival Camp please bear in mind that our full Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team is not available during school holidays. Once you have disclosed your child’s needs, we will contact you to discuss what adjustments might be required to ensure your child can participate fully and safely. In some rare instances, if we determine that we cannot safely or adequately meet your child’s specific needs alongside the needs of the other children, we reserve the right to decline the booking.

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
