What we'll do
Brighton Table Tennis Club and other grassroots clubs (VYD Football and Bevendean Gymnastics Club) will be delivering a series of fun activities at Moulsecoomb Primary School and Brighton Table Tennis Club Moulsecoomb during the Christmas holidays There will be a carousel of sports including table tennis, football and gymnastics. Everyone gets to try all of the activities and food will be provided by Sussex Surplus. HAF-eligible Children with SEND and asylum seekers are welcome at this camp. Many of our staff are former teachers and are skilled and experienced working with SEND children and those with complex needs. We recruit additional staff for these Moulsecoomb sessions, all teachers or teaching assistants, so we have a high ratio of skilled staff to children. Please select the SEND ticket to identify your child's needs for extra support. Please make us aware of your child's needs so that we can plan how to support them appropriately. If a child does need time-out, we have staff in each session who can sit with them and do quiet activities if appropriate. We do not have the levels of staff however, to provide one-to-one care throughout the day to any individuals. However, parents/carer or the child’s PA are all welcome to attend to support. We believe we have established a good reputation for our sessions, and all activities are fully inclusive. Places are subject to availability. It is likely that this will be over-subscribed. We will confirm as soon as we are able to that your child has a space and for which days. If your child cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible, and before 9am on the day. A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council: • Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. • Limits on bookings – Over the Winter, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 4 HAF places across all providers in the city with a maximum of one HAF-funded session per day. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back on to an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.”

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
