What we'll do
Welcome to Our Holiday Activities Programme When you arrive, we will provide a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for your child. Your child will have the opportunity to make new friends, take part in exciting activities with experienced youth workers who are DBS checked and safeguarding trained, and enjoy a free healthy lunch. Additionally, we've got your lunch covered! Enjoy a delicious meal together, and for those observing a fast, we're happy to pack your lunch to take home. Some of the activities we offer include: Arts & Crafts Face Painting Traditional Games Storytelling Poetry Dance Online Safety Awareness Drawing Team Games and Fun Activities If your child has any food allergies, dietary requirements, or medical needs, please let us know when registering so that we can ensure their safety and well-being throughout the programme. We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our holiday activities programme and helping them enjoy a fun, safe, and memorable experience. Bristol Horn Youth Concern
Ensuring bright futures for Bristol youth.
Bristol Horn Youth Concern is a community interest company (CIC) that was formed to support young people aged 11-19, mainly from an East African, though not exclusively Somali background. We provide a range of activities and support including sports, leadership skills, advice, and training on employment. Our aim is to provide positive opportunities and activities for young people to reduce the risk of falling into criminal activity including gangs, using drugs and anti-social behaviour. We educate young people on the consequences of their choices and empower them to make better choices and provide them with the tools to do so. We organise weekly sporting sessions including basketball and football for young people including girls. They are run by qualified sports coaches and youth workers. We also have detached youth work teams who go out into the community, make contact and engage with young people. They encourage them to join our activities. We do this proactively and also reactively in response to concerns from the community about antisocial behaviour.
